Invisalign® Clear Aligner Therapy in Pleasanton, TX

Invisalign

Pleasanton Children’s Dentistry is proud to offer several different choices for orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign. Invisalign aligners are known for their ability to shift teeth gently and efficiently, and patients end up with a straighter, more symmetrical smile without having to wear noticeable metal braces. If you, your child, or anyone else in your household is interested in pursuing Invisalign orthodontic treatment, please give our office a call to schedule a consultation with us!

How does Invisalign work?

Digital impressions of your child’s teeth will need to be taken so that their treatment plan can be created and their custom clear aligners can be designed. Our team will also assess their bite and their teeth and provide you with an estimate for how long their treatment should take with Invisalign. Once their first set of aligners are ready, we will have them try them on and make any necessary adjustments. Aligners should be switched out every two weeks, and patients will need to have periodic orthodontic visits so they can get their next set of aligners and we can assess their orthodontic progress.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

One of the main benefits of Invisalign is the fact that clear aligners are barely noticeable when they are worn, so patients can straighten their smiles without calling attention to their teeth. Invisalign aligners are also comfortable to wear for many hours at a time, and the advanced technology allows patients to achieve straighter teeth in an average of only 12 to 18 months. Since the aligners are completely removable, they are easy to clean, and patients do not have to worry about any food or activity restrictions while undergoing treatment.

Who should get Invisalign?

Invisalign can be used to treat malocclusion in adolescents, teens, and adults. When it comes to orthodontic treatment for children, however, there are a few things to keep in mind. Patients who choose to use Invisalign must be responsible enough to keep track of their clear aligners and wear them often enough. Clear aligners also require patients to brush both their teeth and the aligners, which is an important extra step. Invisalign can treat many orthodontic issues, but some complex problems may need to be treated using traditional braces.
